Miniature Stone Doll House

     This stone house was built by  John Heron  duringhe early  days of the zoo. There was also a wooden doll house previous to this but it is no longer in existence.

   "Herron worked for three years cutting 1,600 stones from the fields and along the Lake Michigan shoreline to build this house.  It was located near the zoo" (from Brother Benjamin by Clare E, Adkin)


  The Stone House is now located at The House Of David Museum in Riverside, Michigan. This picture is one of the last  images of the House still at Eden Springs in before the move. This image is from the museum. The house is being maintained and restored by Don Shultz
