House of David Eden Springs Amusement Park & Zoo in Benton Harbor Michigan. The park included miniature steam engine trains and cars, zoo, restaurants, beer garden and stage with Musical shows and vaudeville entertainment, A Religious organization led by Benjamin Purnell and Mary Purnell that had baseball teams, the pepper game, jazz bands, brass bands, orchestras, vaudeville acts, zoo animals, lions, tigers and bears. Many industries were provided by the House of David including logging, hospitality, transportation, shipping, souvenirs. Visitors to the park included Babe Ruth, Joe Lewis, Al Capone Satchel Paige Walt Disney. The Negro League Chicago Worlds Fair and the Harlem Globetrotters all have roots with The House of David Amusement Park in Benton Harbor Michigan. A great legacy to Michigan History and Historical preservation.

I can not think of a better way to introduce the House Of David Park and Zoo than in the words of their own pamphlets. While my passion for the House of David has motivated me to create this website for Chris Siriano's Museum, my real excitement comes from my memories as a child visiting Eden Springs Park & Zoo. The train rides, the peacocks walking about the aviary, the thrill of driving miniature cars and the roller coaster excitement crossing over the 40 ft train trestles. With the help of my wonderful wife Debbi, Chris Siriano, Don Schultz and the remaining members of the House of David, we hope to re-create a tour of The House of David's Eden Springs Park & Zoo. While over time, we will fill in the sections on the left with detail pages, the Virtual Park Tour is ready and awaiting your arrival.
